The henchmen level up depending on what outpost or town you are in, if you have nightfall you can get heroes that level the same as you.

Hey Jag, welcome to GuildWars.
Unfortunately, if you are ahead of the henchmen in level, they'll probably not start catching up in level in towns in outposts until you get to the crystal desert.....which is way way way far away from where you are at the moment. Try not to stress though. Enjoy the scenery, take the side quests. Take your time. |

I have yet to play Prophecies, but doesn't the level of Henchmen vary throughout towns/outposts? If so, it would be practically pointless trying to level them up.
Correct me if I'm wrong. |

1. Henchmen cannot be leveled by the player.
2. Henchmen are different levels in different areas with a max of level 20. 3. In Hard Mode, as soon as you leave the town/outpost the henchmen level to 20.

Just a follow up question.Im currently in the Fort rankin ascalon breach area of the map doing various quest.Where should i go next to get them to level up? Also why does it continue to show enter mission in areas youve already completed.I finished fort rankin, but when i travel there for various things it still shows enter mission on the party menu.no big deal ,but as absented minded as i am sometimes, ill play things like that thinking i hadnt done it when i had. Thanks |

Just keep doing the missions and primary quests and their level will increase as you go along.
You can repeat the missions as many times as you like. There are various reasons for doing this, for example completing the bonus objective or fully exploring the area. |

Guild Wars Wiki is your friend. Do a search of Guild Wars wiki. There is more information on it than you can learn in a lifetime.
The programmers made the outposts the same for everyone. So even though I have completed Fort Ranik many times - farming Charr carvings for festivals - it still lets us go there. |

Henchmen will gain experience just like any other character or mob, and if you stayed in an instance long enough they would level. But as soon as you enter a town or outpost they will revert to their default level for that outpost, and all that leveling will be wasted.
